We work hand-in-hand with the women weavers of our surrounding communities, who are the true keepers of ancestral knowledge. Our company manages and supports these teams of artisans, implementing developmental schemes focused on modernization, technology upgrades, and fair trade practices.
Through our strategic support, these community weavers have seen a significant increase in their economic opportunities. We assist them in creating their own digital platforms and websites where they can offer their handmade products directly to the world, ensuring they receive the full value of their craftsmanship.
Commitment to Local Education and Future Generations
Our social mission extends to the younger generations. Machu Picchu Lodges actively supports and promotes the improvement of local education for over 240 children in the communities of Huacahuasi, Kunkani, and Kiswarani. We work directly with local schools and families, providing academic support and counseling to ensure a brighter, more inclusive future for the children of the highlands.
